Kansas took control in the second half and quickly went on a 16-4 run to build a 22-point lead with 13:46 remaining. Dartmouth struggled from the floor and made only four of its 25 field goal attempts in the period (16 percent), which allowed the Jayhawks to outscore the Big Green 43-20 in the half. Kansas finished with a 48-14 edge in points in the paint and a 26-3 advantage in points off turnovers. The Jayhawks' size advantage gave them a 44-28 edge in rebounding, including a 19-9 margin on the offensive glass.
The Big Green will break for the holidays before returning to action on December 29 and 30 when it hosts the Blue Sky Restaurant Group Classic. This year's field includes Richmond, Valparaiso and the nationally-ranked DePaul Blue Demons. The Big Green will face the Spiders in the first round and Valpo will take on DePaul in the other opening round contest.
