BROOKLANDVILLE, Md. -- - The No. 20 Dartmouth men's lacrosse team lost to No. 14 Rutgers, 13-9, in the season opener for both schools on Saturday.
For the Big Green under first-year coach Bill Wilson , junior Ben Grinnell and sophomore Alec Hufnagel both scored two goals.
Senior Tom Daniels had one goal and three assists for Dartmouth.
The two teams were tied, 5-5, at halftime before the Scarlet Knights erupted for seven unanswered goals in the third period.
The Big Green hosts Colgate on Saturday, March 6, at 2:30 p.m. on Scully-Fahey Field.
