Dartmouth scored five goals in the fourth quarter to pull away from Colgate in a tight game, defeating the Raiders 9-4. Dartmouth improves to 1-1 on the season, winning their first game under new head coach Bill Wilson . Colgate drops to 2-2.
In the nets Dartmouth goaltender Andrew Goldstein finished with 13 saves and Andrew Jarolimek had 14 for Colgate.
Colgate scored the first goal of the game and held the Big Green scoreless through the first. Brad Heritage scored the equalizer early in the second quarter and then had two unanswered goals, putting Dartmouth ahead 3-1.
The Raiders scored late in the third and once in the fourth to pull to within one, at 3-4 but Dartmouth had five goals by four different players in the fourth quarter to pull away and get the victory.
Dartmouth continues at home next week taking on Hartford Tuesday, March 9 in a 3:00 start.
