Dartmouth Women's Rowing Defeats Columbia

HANOVER, N.H. -- The Dartmouth women's varsity eight prevailed over Columbia in rowing action Sunday morning on the Connecticut River.
The Big Green finished in 6:11.1 with Columbia back in 6:14.8. The Lions took the lead off the start and led for the first half of the race. Dartmouth pulled even and then made a decisive sprint with 500 meters to go.
Dartmouth also won the first and second novice races, while Columbia took the second varsity.
The Big Green now readies for the EAWRC Sprints scheduled on Sunday, May 14.
