HANOVER, N.H. - Sophomore
Jenna Cunningham (Medicine Hat, Alta.) was named ECAC Hockey Player of the Week for the third time this season after a career-high six-point outburst in Sunday's win over Mercyhurst.
Cunningham netted her second career hat trick and added three assists as she factored in each goal scored by the Big Green in its 6-4 victory against the Lakers on Sunday afternoon. Two of the goals came on the power play, while she posted the hat trick on a empty net goal with 10 seconds remaining.
She currently leads ECAC Hockey in goals and points with 15 and 33, respectively. Her 2.36 points per game is tops in the league and second in the nation. Cunningham is also fourth in the country with 1.07 assists per contest, third with 1.29 goals per game and second in power play goals with six.
In 48 games played in her career, Cunningham has 30 goals to go along with 25 assists for 55 points.
The Big Green will be back in action on Friday, January 4, as Dartmouth gets back to ECAC Hockey action with a 7 p.m. face-off against Colgate.
