Jon Grecu graduated from Henry Wisewood High School in Calgary where he played lacrosse. His lax team was the Provincial Champion in 1999-2000. Grecu was born Jan. 23, 1986 in Calgary. His parents are John and Erina and he has one sister. As a member of the Calgary Canucks he was the top goal scorer for his age group in the Alberta Junior Hockey League. He was named to the Prospects All-Star game and was a member of the AJHL's All-Rookie team. Grecu was the Canucks rookie of the year and was on the roster for Team Alberta's Under-17 squad. While at Dartmouth Grecu has played in 66 games, scoring 21 points (4g, 17a).

Bob Gaudet. “He put up big numbers in juniors and has progressed each year he's been here at Dartmouth. He's been a hard worker that has put in the effort both on and off the ice.”

How would you characterize the personality of the team at this point in the season: Not sure about the personality but I know we like to have a good time together and are hoping to have a much better second half of the season.
What has been the biggest adjustment you've made or thing you've learned over the course of the last three seasons: You have to be strong mentally and emotionally hockey can be a tough game.
Your teammates have said you are the funniest, most entertaining guy to be around. What do you think about that: Well I think that that might be a bit of a stretch but I just love being around my friends, whether I'm here or at home. I think my joking has helped us become comfortable with each other very quickly (mainly the seniors). I just love being around the guys I play with and I don't think it is really a role I play, I just think it helps me get the most out of this game.
What's been your most memorable moment here at Dartmouth: Lots of moments stand out, I think maybe having dinner at Molly's with all the members of the senior class and our parents. I'm pretty sure that was the first and only time that's going to happen and it was a pretty special night.
What made you chose Dartmouth and what has been the best thing about going to school here: Looking back I think I came here because I saw it was a great school with a hockey program that was on the rise. The relationships that I've developed here is have been the best part. I still talk to former players and hope I'll continue to be close with everyone.
Name one thing our fans wouldn't expect about you? I'm single
Plans for after graduation and what's your major: I'm an economics major. I haven't made any plans yet, maybe I'll travel or play some more hockey.
