HANOVER, N.H. – Junior Amanda Trunzo (Andover, Minn.) posted three points, including two power play goals in a 1-1-1 week for the Dartmouth women's hockey team and earned ECAC Hockey Player of the Week honors.
On Wednesday, she started out with a goal on the man-advantage and added an assist on the game-winner in a 4-2 victory over
Vermont. Trunzo added another power-play goal in the 3-3 tie at UConn.
She is second on the team in points with 16 on nine goals and seven assists. With the two goals on the man advantage last week she is tied for the team lead in power play goals. Trunzo is also tops in total power play points with seven on the year. She has four assists to go with the three scores.
Trunzo has also quietly reached 75 career points after scoring in the opening game against Connecticut in the two-game set last weekend. She has 42 goals and 33 assists in 79 games in a Dartmouth uniform.
The Big Green will be back in action this coming weekend as Dartmouth jumps back into ECAC Hockey play. The two-game trip starts on Friday night at Quinnipiac with a 7 p.m. face-off from the TD Bank Center.
