KEENE, N.H. - The Dartmouth women's cross country squad made the short trip to Keene State on Saturday and raced to a first-place finish at the 16th annual Keene State Invitational. The Big Green scored 20 points and took five of the top seven places to outpace second RPI (52 points).
Katelyn Walker was the top placer for Dartmouth as she finished second overall. The freshman crossed the finish line with a time of 18:37. Senior Andrea Imhof (San Francisco, Calif.) was right behind Walker in third place (19:24). Sophomore Katie Sullivan (Carmel, N.Y.) took fourth place (19:36), sophomore Melanie Wilcox (Dallas, Texas) finished fifth (19:39) and junior Marissa Greco rounded out the scoring for the Big Green in seventh (19:47). In all, Dartmouth had nine placers in the top 20 finishers.
The Big Green have won two of the three events they have raced in this year. Dartmouth competes at the New England Championships next Saturday, Oct. 9, at Boston, Mass.
