Of Dartmouth's five honorees, four are earning all-conference accolades for the first time in their careers including all three of the second team choices. Dartmouth (7-7-2, 4-2-1 Ivy) finished tied for second in the Ivy League after winning its last four games and going unbeaten in the final five.
Senior Katie Davis (San Marino, Calif.) headlines Dartmouth's second team All-Ivy honorees after playing the best season of her career. A co-captain, Davis led an inexperienced midfield, starting all 16 games, playing more minutes than any other midfielder. Davis registering two assists.
She is joined on the second team by sophomore defender Aurelia Solomon (Washington, D.C.) and freshman midfielder Chrissy Lozier (Fairfield, Conn.). Solomon had a tremendous year in the backline for Dartmouth, starting all 16 games and playing every minute of the season. Solomon helped Dartmouth record five shutouts, allowing only 10.5 shots per game. She also made her presence felt offensively with two goals and an assist including a critical goal in the Ivy opening win over Brown.
Lozier tallied nine points on three goals and three assists in her freshman season. She played her best soccer at the end of the season for the Big Green, ending the year with a three-game point streak. She was named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week on two occasions, after recording a goal and an assist in the win at Columbia and an assist at Cornell. She also scored a goal in the 3-2 Ivy win over Harvard.
Two other Big Green midfielders were named honorable mention All-Ivy as senior Melisa Krnjaic (Washington, D.C.) was a repeat selection and freshman Marina Moschitto (Andover, Mass.) made her debut after a solid rookie campaign.
Krnjaic was named honorable mention All-Ivy for the second straight season after a midseason move from defense to midfield. Krnjaic finished the season tied for the team lead in scoring with 10 points (four goals, two assists) including scoring two goals against Harvard. The only freshman to play in all 16 games, Moschitto started 15 of those and was tallied a team-high 10 points on four goals and two goals. She scored two big game-winning goals at Penn State, Big 10 Champions, and against Brown. She added two assists in the victory over Harvard as well.
