COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Mark Hudak (Hanover, N.H.) and Hilary Witt (Lowell, Mass.) were named assistant coaches for the U.S. Women's Select Team that will compete in the 2010 Women's Four Nations Cup from Nov. 8-14, in St. Johns, N.L., as announced today by USA Hockey. Hudak and Witt join Head Coach Katey Stone (Arlington, Mass.) on the coaching staff.
Hudak is entering his eighth season as the head women's ice hockey coach at Dartmouth College, where he has led the Big Green to five NCAA tournament appearances. He recently served as an assistant coach alongside Stone at the 2010 USA Hockey Women's National Festival in August, and previously coached at the Festival in 2006.
Witt is entering her first season as an assistant women's ice hockey coach at Northeastern University after serving as the head women's ice hockey coach at Yale University for the past eight years. She coached at the 2010 USA Hockey Women's National Festival and 2010 Under-22 Series, serving as an assistant coach for the U.S. Women's Under-22 Select Team. Previously, she was an assistant coach for the U.S. Women's National Team that captured the silver medal at the 2007 International Ice Hockey Federation World Women's Championship.
Hudak and Witt will join Stone at the camp in Brunswick, Maine, from Oct. 31-Nov. 6, prior to departing for St. Johns on Nov. 7 for the Four Nations Cup.
