HANOVER, N.H. — The Dartmouth women's hockey team will host Skate with the Big Green this Sunday, Oct. 16, at Thompson Arena at 1:30 p.m.
In what is an annual tradition for the team, the women's hockey players will join local youth from around the area in an open skate on the ice. The event gives all the kids in the Upper Valley a chance to stop by and meet their favorite Big Green players and skate on the Thompson Arena ice with the team as well.
"The team is really excited about the Skate with the Big Green this weekend," head coach
Mark Hudak said. "It's something our players look forward to every year, and it's a great chance for them to spend some time with the kids that come to so many of our games."
The event, sponsored by White River Toyota, begins at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday and is free and open to the public. Kids looking to get on the ice need to bring their own skates. If there are any questions please call (603)-646-0418. Skate with the Big Green is an event that has been ongoing for more than 13 years.
