PRINCETON, N.J.- The Dartmouth's men's lightweight crew team took to the water for its second fall race at the Princeton Chase on Sunday (Oct. 29). The Big Green boated two eights and one four for the race.
In the eights competition, Dartmouth's top boat took 10th place with a time of 13:46.23 behind boats from Harvard, Princeton, Georgetown, Yale, Cornell, Navy, Columbia and Penn. This is the second top 15 finish for the Big Green who took eighth at the Head of the Charles last weekend.
The Big Green's second eight took 25th place with a time of 15:12.31 finishing ahead of Columbia's third boat and Penn's fourth boat.
Dartmouth's top four took 16th place with a time of 15:38.84 finishing in the middle of the pack in the 28-boat race. The B, C and D boats all finished close together. The B boat took 30th, the C boat finished 31st and the D boat took 35th.
The Big Green also boated a novice boat, comprised of freshman lightweight and heavyweight rowers. That boat finished 21st out of 35 crews with a time of 15:12.10.
The Big Green is on the water next at the Green Monster, the annual freshman-only regatta hosted by Dartmouth.
