PRINCETON, N.J. — The nine members of Dartmouth's lightweight varsity crew have been named to the All-Ivy second team by virtue of their second place finish at the 2011 Eastern Sprints.
Dartmouth advanced to the Grand Final at the 66th annual Eastern Association of Rowing Colleges (EARC) Sprints for the fifth time since 2006 and took second, its best result since winning Springs in 2007. The Big Green was second to Harvard in a time of 5:46.848, just behind the Crimson's winning time of 5:45.358. In the process, the Big Green defeated Yale, Princeton, Cornell and Navy.
The Big Green will compete at the 2011 IRA National Championship from June 2-4 in Camden, N.J.
