HANOVER, N.H. – Juniors Corey Delaney and Jackie Friedman were named First-Team All-Ivy honorees, while senior keeper Tatiana Saunders was tabbed Second-Team All-Ivy, as announced by the league office on Wednesday.
“It is great to see the individual recognitions that comes with the team performing well,” said head coach Ron Rainey. “I am proud of the whole group and those the Ivy coaches recognized.”
Delaney finished second on the Big Green with four goals and three assists for 11 points. She started all 17 games and tallied a pair of game-winners, against Penn and Harvard. This is the third consecutive season that Delaney has been named to the first-team after she was awarded the league's Rookie of the Year nod in 2012.
Friedman finished with a goal and two assists as an offensive-defender. The san Diego native, was also a key contributor helping the Big Green to hold opponents to just 11 goals and a 0.60 goals against average and nine shutouts.
Saunders was the true backbone of the team posting a 6-5-4 record with a 0.69 GAA and a 0.836 save percentage. Her seven shutouts led the league, while she also finished second in save percentage and third in saves (56) and saves per game (3.73).
Dartmouth also had two players receive honorable mention in senior defender Laura Thurber and junior Lucielle Kozlov. Thurber joined Friedman on the back line, while Kozlov added five goals and two assists for 12 points.
Princeton's Tyler Lussi was named the Ivy League Player of the Year, where she led the league in goals (18) and points (39). Yale's Elise Wilcox was named the Defensive Player of the year, and Harvard's Dani Stollar and Ray Leone captured the Rookie and Coach of the Year awards, respectively. \
