PRINCETON, N.J. — Junior Lakin Roland and freshman Andi Norman finished with nine points each, but the No. 17/16 Princeton Tigers maintained an early lead and defeated the Dartmouth women's basketball team, 70-31, on Friday evening at Jadwin Gym.
Dartmouth falls to 11-12 overall and 2-7 in the Ivy League while Princeton remains the lone undefeated team in the NCAA and is now 24-0 and 8-0 in the Ivy League.
Norman was a late spark for the Big Green scoring all nine points in 11 minutes off the bench. The Big Green finished the game shooting 19 percent (10-of-53) and 6-of-18 from the outside.
Annie Tarakchian led the Tigers with 11 points and 14 rebounds. Alex Wheatley has 20 points to lead all scores and Michelle Miller had 12 points. Princeton finished the night shooting 62 percent from the floor and only took six free throws.
Roland hit a three-pointer to get the Big Green on the board 25 seconds into play and the Big Green led for 3:14 until Amanda Berntsen scored on a layup with 16:21 left. The Tigers went on a 7-0 run and took an 11-5 lead on a layup by Blake Dietrick. After about a three-minute offensive lull on both ends, Taylor Williams gave the Tigers a double-digit lead (19-8) with an inside the paint bucket. Princeton began to pull away with four minutes left in the frame and went into the locker room ahead by 18 points, 30-12.

Annie Tarakchian had eight rebounds to pace her team who pulled down 29 boards compared to the 11 by the Big Green. Princeton shot 53 percent (18-34) in the half but turned the ball over 12 times.
In the second half, the Tigers outscored the Big Green, 40-19, but late in the frame Norman and classmate Emily Slagle knocked down five three-pointers.
