HANOVER, N.H. – Following a four-goal week, Dartmouth women's soccer senior Lucielle Kozlov was named Ivy League Co-Player of the Week on Monday, sharing the honor with Kelsey Tierney of Cornell.
Last Thursday, Kozlov scored both tallies in the Big Green's 2-0 shutout of Albany, finding the back of the net in the 52nd minute and again with nine minutes remaining in regulation.
“Lucielle did a great job making runs forward and with her combination play,” head coach Ron Rainey said after the game. “She picked her head up and put the ball where it needed to go. I am very excited for her. A lot of this was how she played and how she attacked. She had a very nice game.”
Dartmouth opened its seven-game home schedule on Sunday against Vermont, taking down the Catamounts, 6-0, after scoring five goals in the second 45 minutes of action. Kozlov netted the team's second and third goals less than three minutes apart.
This is the first time that the senior has been honored by the conference. She is also the first Big Green member to be named Player of the Week since Tatiana Saunders on Nov. 3, 2014.
The Green returns to action on Friday evening when it heads to Northeastern for a game that kicks off at 6 p.m.
