FRIDAY'S GAME
After splitting last weekend's home games with Central Michigan and Fairleigh Dickinson, the Dartmouth women's soccer team is back in action this Friday, taking on Albany on Burnham Field at 7 p.m.
SCOUTING THE GREAT DANES
Albany (3-5-0) is coming off of a 3-1 victory over Quinnipiac at home on Sept. 11. The victory on Sunday snapped a two-game losing streak for the Great Danes thanks to a pair of goals from Kiana Rugar. She leads the team with 15 shots and is tied for second with five points. Alexa Schneider leads Albany with seven points and three goals. In goal, two keepers have split time for the Great Danes as Alana Olivieri has made 22 saves with a 2-2-0 record, while Chloe Borasky is 1-3-0 with 12 saves.
LAST TIME AGAINST ALBANY
The Big Green traveled to upstate New York last season where Dartmouth defeated the Great Danes 2-0. Lucille Kozlov found the back of the net twice in the second half to lead her team to victory. Casey Cousineau made six saves in goal for the Big Green for her first victory in 2015.
LAST TIME OUT
Dartmouth is coming off a 1-0 win over the Knight's last weekend. Freshman Charlotte Esty scored her third goal of the season in the 59th minute when Remey Borinsky crossed a pass from the far right corner over to Esty who buried a shot to the left of the keeper.
AYE AYE CAPTAIN
The Green and White are led by Holly Patterson and Hayley Snyder, who are both entering their final seasons in Hanover. Last year, Patterson started in all 13 games played and took 13 shots. As a junior, Snyder started 15 games and took four shots.
BETWEEN THE PIPES
Dartmouth's senior goaltender, Cousineau, has had a solid start to her final season in Hanover. The Altadena, California native leads the Ivy League in saves (33) and is second in save percentage (.926).
GETTING OFF ON THE RIGHT FOOT
The Big Green freshmen have been solid contributors on the offensive side of the ball in the early going of the 2016 season. Esty leads the team with three goals, while Zoe Enright and Alyssa Neuberger each have one goal apiece.
