HANOVER, N.H. – The Dartmouth men's hockey team concludes the preseason with its final exhibition contest Friday night against the US National Team Development Program.
The Big Green and Team USA meet inside Thompson Arena with faceoff scheduled for 7 p.m.
These two actually met during the preseason prior to the 2015-16 campaign with the USNTDP coming away with a late win thanks to a goal with 21 seconds remaining from Clayton Keller, now a member of the Arizona Coyotes. Trailing by two in the third, the Big Green pulled even at 4-4 thanks to a goal from Alex Jasiek with assists going to Kevin Neiley and Tim Shoup.
Dartmouth is coming into the game having defeated the University of Windsor, 2-1, in its preseason opener on Sunday, Oct. 8. In that game, sophomore Daniel Warpecha scored both of the team's goals with Kevan Kilistoff and Neiley picking up the helpers on both.
Friday's tilt is FREE and open to the public and will serve as the final tune up for the Green and White before opening their season next week on the road at Holy Cross on Friday. The team then heads to Cambridge to take on Harvard on Sunday night in the ECAC Hockey and Ivy League opener for both teams and the first game of the season for the Crimson.
Single-game and season tickets for the 2017-18 season are now on sale through the Dartmouth Ticket Office. Those looking to secure their seats for any or all of the Big Green men's or women's hockey games at Thompson Arena this season can do so through the Dartmouth Ticket Office website or by calling 603-646-2466.
The team's regular season home opener is Friday, Nov. 3 against Brown at 7 p.m.
