WATCH IT!
Saturday's game will be carried live and in high definition on both ESPN3 and the Ivy League Digital Network. Fans with ESPN as part of their cable subscriptions can watch the game live on ESPN3, while those with ILDN subscriptions can watch the game online the same as with every home game.
LAST TIME OUT
- The Big Green fell to No. 4 USC, 19-8.
- After tying the game, 8-8, in the opening minutes of the second half, the Big Green fell victim to an 11-0 run that eventually led to the final score.
- Senior Courtney Weisse netted the first three goals of the game as the home team led early and finished with four on the day.
- Junior Cara DePippo also finished with four points, scoring twice and assisting on two Weisse tallies.
- USC improved to 3-0 all-time against Dartmouth with every game coming in the last three years.
SCOUTING THE TIGERS
- Princeton comes into the game ranked No. 5 in the latest IWLCA national poll.
- After the Tigers moved up to No. 5 in the rankings, they suffered their first loss of 2017, falling 13-8 Tuesday at home against No. 10 Penn State.
- Senior Olivia Hompe leads the team in scoring with 28 points, ranking sixth in the Ivy League. Her team-leading 21 goals are fourth in the Ancient Eight.
- Goalkeeper Ellie Degarmo's .553 save percentage and five wins both rank second in the conference, while her 9.17 goals against average is fourth.
AGAINST PRICNETON
- Saturday's game marks the 45th all-time meeting between the two teams with Princeton winning 26 of the first 44 contests.
- The Tigers have won the last three meeting, including an 11-5 victory last year in New Jersey. The win came thanks in large part to Princeton's ability to hold Dartmouth's leading scorer Jaclyn Leto without a point altogether.
- The Big Green have actually lost five straight regular season games to Princeton since the start of the 2012 season. The only win in that stretch for the Green and White was a 2013 Ivy League semifinal victory against the Tigers at Penn's Franklin Field.
HELPING IN OTHER WAYS
Though she has just three goals this season, Kathryn Giroux has been helping Dartmouth is other ways. After seven draw controls against USC, the sophomore is second in the Ivy League with 34 this season, behind only Yale's Izzy Nixon.
ANOTHER TOP-10 TEAM!
The Dartmouth women's lacrosse team joins the women's hockey team as the only two programs in the department this season to play teams ranked in the top-10 spots of their respective national polls in consecutive games this season. The women's hockey team did so four times this season, while the lacrosse program will join them after playing fourth-ranked Southern California last week and No. 5 Princeton on Saturday.
