LEBANON, N.H. – The Dartmouth men's hockey team made its annual visit to the Children's Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock (CHaD) on Monday morning to deliver donations from the team's toy drive this past weekend.
Â
Thanks to the generous donations made by fans during Friday night's game against New Hampshire at Thompson Arena, the Big Green were once again able to make Monday's visit a special one.
Â
"This is always a great event for our team," captain
Kevan Kilistoff said. "We understand some of the circumstances that have these kids here around the holidays, so we just want to come and have fun and take their minds off it for a while.
Â
"Obviously, we come and play with them, but the toys we bring are thanks to our fans," Kilistoff added. "We can't thank those who donated enough for helping us make this day so special every year."
Â
Due to such an overwhelming show of support for the toy drive, many members of the team spent the entire visit helping members of the staff organize and sort toys in the 'snow pile' room for parents and patients to look through in the coming days and weeks.
Â
Once again, the Dartmouth men's hockey team would like to thank those fans whose donations made Monday's trip an incredible experience. Additionally, a very big thank you to the members of CHaD's Child Life Department who facilitate the team's visit every year and make it so easy and enjoyable for everyone involved.
