HANOVER, N.H. – Rising sophomore
Claire Campbell participated at the Under 23 Women's National Team Selection Camp, earning the stroke seat in women's quad that will compete at the 2018 World Rowing U23 Championship.

The camp took place in Princeton, New Jersey, this summer, while the World Championship will be held in Poznan, Poland, from July 25-29.

Campbell was one of 10 athletes nationwide selected for the Sculling Camp, while three additional athletes were waitlisted.

"This is a great experience and I love being able to compete at such a high level," Campbell said. "I will be training in Princeton until July 19 and then I will head to Poland and race."

In 2017-18, the New Canaan, Connecticut, native rowed in the first varsity, helping Dartmouth retain the Parents' Cup with a win over Cornell and finish sixth in the Grand Final at the Ivy League Championship. At the conclusion of the season, she received the Martha Beattie '76 Award for being the most outstanding freshman oarswoman.
