Alex Frank has announced the trio of players who have been tabbed as captains for the Dartmouth women's lacrosse team in 2020.

Katie Bourque,
Sarah Ross and
Natalee Palmer has been chosen to serve as the leadership group for a Big Green team looking to win another Ivy League title and make a return trip to the NCAA Tournament for the second straight year.

"All nine of our seniors have been tremendous leaders for our team over the last few months and I am very excited to announce Katie, Natalee, and Sarah were elected captains for the 2020 season," Frank said. "They exemplify the core values of our team and have gone above and beyond their roles as leaders."

Bourque is coming off a career year in which she scored 38 goals and finished with 46 points as a junior. For her efforts, the Ridgewood, New Jersey, native was named to the All-Ivy League Second Team.

Ross is another New Jersey native who will serve as captain, coming to Hanover from Cranford. She appeared in four games in 2019 and had one assist, while scoring twice and posting three points as a sophomore.

Palmer, a native of Charlotte, North Carolina, is the lone defender in the trio. She has 46 games under her belt and in that time has caused 13 turnovers and picked up 31 ground balls and a pair of draw controls.

Bourque, Ross, Palmer and the rest of the Big Green will begin their Ivy League title defense in February when the 2020 regular season gets underway.
