THIS WEEKEND
The Dartmouth men's lacrosse team will open its 2019 campaign on the road on Saturday, taking on Boston University.
SCOUTING THE TERRIERS
BU already has two games under its belt, opening the season with a close win over Providence (8-7) at the beginning of the month before falling to Ohio State (17-10) the following weekend. The Terriers will be playing at home for the first time this season.
LAST TIME AGAINST BU
The Big Green and the Terriers met for the first time in program history on Feb. 20, 2017, a game BU won by a score of 10-4.
Jack Korzelius '18 led the team with a pair of goals, while three other players had a point each.
Alex Burnley – who started his first collegiate game – ended the game with 11 saves.
2018 IN REVIEW
Dartmouth ended last season with an overall record of 2-11. The Green opened 2018 on a high note when they defeated Canisius, 13-12, at Scully-Fahey Field. After two road losses, Dartmouth picked up its second home win in the form of a 9-8 victory over Wagner.
The Big Green played two double overtime games, but unfortunately came out on the wrong side of both of them against UMass Lowell and No. 20 Penn. They also played a good game against Harvard, tying the score seven times before ultimately falling by a score of 10-8.
CALLAHAN AND CO.
Brendan Callahan is back for his fifth season at the helm after being named the 10th head coach in the program's 90-year history in August of 2014. He is joined behind the bench by associate head coach and recruiting coordinator
Joe Conner, defensive coordinator
Nate Norbo and assistant coach
Knute Kraus.
RETURNING FIREPOWER
Four of the team's six double-digit point scorers are returning this season. As a sophomore last season,
George Prince led the team in 2018 with 34 points from 16 goals and 18 assists, while
Ben Martin was just a point behind with his team-leading 26 goals and seven assists. Rounding out the remainder of the team's double-digit scorers are
Liam O'Connell and
Matt Paul.
Kiernan Gunn was first in both ground balls (42) and in faceoffs (88-203, .433).
CLASS OF 2022
Twelve of the 43 players on the roster will be wearing the Green and White jersey for the first time. Making up the Class of 2022 are

Peter Rizzotti,

CAPTAINS

Jack Richardson and
Ben Martin will be assistant captains.
AND IN NET…
With
George Christopher and
Alex Burnley returning for their third and second years, respectively, Callahan added one more goalie to the mix. Hincks will look to get some time in net during his first year in Hanover.
