PRINCETON, N.J. – The Ivy League announced its postseason awards on Wednesday and senior forward
Isalys Quinones was named to the All-Ivy League Second Team.
From San Diego, Quinones started in all 27 games for the Big Green, was the eighth leading scorer in the Ivy League (14.0 points per game) and was second on the Big Green in rebounding (6.3). She recorded three double-doubles against Loyola, Cal State Fullerton and Columbia. Quinones also led Dartmouth with 18 blocked shots (0.7 per game) and was second on the team with 34 steals (1.2 per game). The senior shot 75 percent from the free throw line which ranked fifth in the Ivy League.
A true dual threat on offense, Quinones shot 45.3 percent from the floor and tallied double digit points in 20 games, including six games of at least 20, while matching her career high of 23 against Brown on Feb. 23.
Princeton junior forward Bella Alarie was tabbed the Ivy Player of the Year for the second straight season, while Sienna Durr from Columbia was named the Rookie of the Year and Penn sophomore Eleah Parker earned Defensive Player of the Year honors. The Coach of the Year was given to Penn's Mike McLaughlin, who guided the Quakers to a share of the Ivy League regular season title and a 22-5 overall record.
