PRINCETON, N.J. – Dartmouth women's hockey senior
Christine Honor was named All-Ivy League Honorable Mention, as announced by the conference office on Wednesday.
This is the second year in a row that the netminder has received postseason recognition.
The Mississauga, Ontario, native had yet another great season between the pipes in 2018-19. She started 26 of the team's 29 games and, in 1477 minutes, made 715 saves for 2.72 goals against average and a .914 save percentage. These were her best stats since her .916 save percentage and 2.60 goals against during her six-game sophomore season.
Honor was named the ECAC Hockey Goalie of the Week on Feb. 18, receiving the weekly award for the second time in her career following her exceptional performance in Dartmouth's three-point weekend against Clarkson (W, 3-2) and St. Lawrence (T, 0-0).
Even after making a combined 203 saves during her first two years on the team, Honor cracked the top 10 in Dartmouth's all-time record book for most saves in a career. She ends her four years seventh with 1,736 stops.
She is still the NCAA record holder for most saves in a shutout after stopping 61 in the 1-0 win over Quinnipiac on Oct. 27, 2017.
