HANOVER, N.H. – Dartmouth women's hockey was picked to finish ninth in the 2019-20 ECAC Hockey Preseason Coaches' Poll, which was released by the league office on Tuesday.
The Big Green moved up two places from last year's poll and one spot from where they finished the 2018-20 campaign.
Clarkson, which came in third place last season, was picked to finish first with 113 points, but only received three first-place votes. Princeton and Cornell tied for second (109), with the Tigers picking up five of the remaining nine votes.
Rounding out the top five were Colgate and Harvard, and they were followed by St. Lawrence, Quinnipiac, Yale, Dartmouth, RPI, Brown and Union.
The team is made up of 14 returnees (three seniors, five juniors, six sophomores) and six newcomers. Making their collegiate debuts this year are

The Big Green will play two preseason games: a scrimmage against Concordia on Oct. 6 and the annual exhibition against McGill a week later. The year will officially begin at home against Harvard on Oct. 25.
