HANOVER, N.H. — "Big Green Classic," live streams of Dartmouth fall sporting events from the recent past with commentary from some of the players and coaches, returns once again this week to bring you the final game of the 2015 season for women's soccer as it hosted Cornell on Senior Day. The event will be streamed Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. on the
Dartmouth Sports YouTube channel with alumnae
Gia Parker '18 and
Charlotte Esty '20, along with head coach
Ron Rainey, to discuss the contest and their Dartmouth experiences with host Brett Franklin.
The Big Green rolled through the early portion of the schedule that year, enjoying a five-game winning streak at one point, and entered the final contest with an overall record of 7-4-4, while Cornell was just slightly better at 9-3-4. Senior
Lucielle Kozlov led a strong Dartmouth offense with 11 goals (third in the Ivy League) and a pair of assists that season, while three others each tallied four. Junior goalkeeper
Casey Cousineau started 15 of the 16 games that year and boasted a GAA of 0.78, also good for third in the Ancient Eight.
Parker, a midfielder hailing from Amherst, Massachusetts, played in 49 games in her career, was just coming into her own as a sophomore in 2015 before starting six games in 2016 as a junior and 14 more as a senior the following fall. She finished her career with four goals — two coming in one game against Holy Cross — and a pair of assists.
Another Massachusetts native from Newbury, Esty played in 61 of the 67 games during her four years in Hanover, scoring seven goals and assisting on three others from her forward position. Three of her tallies came as a freshman, and all three were game-winners against Iona, Gardner-Webb and Fairleigh Dickinson.
Be sure to tune in to the Dartmouth Sports YouTube channel on Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. to watch the game play out and hear insight on the strategies and behind-the-scenes discussions.
