Leading up to the 2020 Dartmouth women's lacrosse home opener on Feb. 22 against Boston University, let's meet the nine members of the Class of 2020.

Today's Senior… Polly Carter
Â
DartmouthSports.com: What is your favorite place on campus?
Polly Carter: My favorite place on campus is either on Scully-Fahey Field, looking at the surrounding woods or the Ledyard Docks down at the river. I love Scully for obvious reasons, but both of these places remind me of the incredible natural beauty that makes this campus so magical.Â
Â
DS: If you could swap places with one teammate, who would it be and why?
PC: I would switch places with
Katie Bourque. She is one of the funniest and kindest people I know. I would also love to experience what it feels like to play with her level of speed, explosiveness and grit.Â
Â
DS: What has been your best on-field memory thus far in your Dartmouth career?
PC: Beating Princeton my sophomore year. We played them at the end of a long road trip over spring break and I remember going into that game with such a level of confidence in the abilities of the women on my team to execute. The stands were filled with so many parents and alumni that it felt like a home game and it is one of the first times that I understood what it means to be a part of Dartmouth Lacrosse.Â
Â
DS: How is Hanover different or similar to where you grew up?
PC: I grew up in New Hampshire so in some ways it is similar to where I am from. However, Hanover is very rural which was a big change for me freshman year. I think that this is something that shapes Dartmouth culture in a really special way. I love that I am never more than a 15-minute walk from my best friends.Â
Â
DS: What is your hidden talent or something that someone might not know about you?
PC: I live on an organic blueberry farm. Â
Â
DS: What are you going to miss most about Dartmouth after you graduate?
PC: I mentioned it earlier, but I will miss being a 10-minute walk from everyone I love. Dartmouth is an amazing place, but it is the people that make special and I will miss that dearly.Â
