SENIOR WEEKEND
Dartmouth will celebrate its senior class of
Grace Phillips,
Kealy Brown,
Paula Lenart and
Annie McKenna this weekend against Cornell and Columbia. The group will be honored before the game on Saturday. McKenna will finish her career top-10 in assists in program history, she currently has 267, which is two behind former teammate
Cy Lippold '19 for ninth all-time.
FRIDAY NIGHT AT PENN
- Dartmouth played well in the first quarter, but ended up falling to Penn at The Palestra, 67-31.
- After falling behind 7-3, the Big Green made it a 12-10 game with two minutes remaining in the first. Penn then closed the quarter on a 6-0 run to take an 18-10 lead after one.
- The second quarter is where the game got away as the Quakers outscored Dartmouth 12-4 to take a 30-14 advantage into halftime.
- Penn's lead expanded to 26 points in the third quarter and continued to grow from there.
- Katie Douglas, Paula Lenart and Asha Taylor each had six points.
- Eleah Parker was the only member for Penn in double figures with 24 points and 13 rebounds.
SATURDAY NIGHT AT NO. 25 PRINCETON
- Dartmouth competed and was only down by two at halftime, but a big third quarter for Princeton led the Tigers to an 87-55 victory.
- A three by Anna Luce and pair of triples from Katie Douglas boosted the Big Green to an early 11-4 lead after the first four minutes.
- Princeton fought back and took its first lead with 1:54 on the clock until Luce answered with another three to finish the quarter tied at 16.
- Princeton looked to be in control in the second, but big shots by Elle Louie and Douglas kept the Dartmouth deficit at two at halftime.
- The Tigers won the third quarter 31-11 to put the game away.
- Luce and Asha Taylor each finished with 10 points, Katie Douglas added eight, while Annie McKenna, Louie and Veronica Kelly each had six.
LEADING THE WAY
- Annie McKenna leads the Big Green in scoring (10.9 ppg), assists (4.2 apg), is tied for steals (1.3 spg) and she tops the team and the Ivy League in minutes played (34.6 mpg).
- Paula Lenart is leading Dartmouth in rebounding for the second straight season. She is grabbing 7.0 rpg, 4.1 defensive rpg and 2.9 offensive rpg.
- Matching McKenna with 1.3 steals per game is Elle Louie and Lenart. Louie also leads the way with 0.8 blocks per game.
- Veronica Kelly has the highest field goal percentage (.521), while Anna Luce leads the team in 3-point shooting percentage (.391).
AT HOME
- With this being the final weekend at Leede Arena this season, let's take a look at Dartmouth stats on its home floor this year.
- The Big Green are 5-5 in Hanover with wins over Vermont (72-55), Merrimack (57-52), Maine (57-41), New Hampshire (66-47) and Harvard (63-62).
- McKenna is leading the scoring charge at home with 11.5 ppg to go along with 4.8 apg and 3.3 rpg.
- Anna Luce averages 9.2 ppg in Hanover, while Douglas puts up 8.3 ppg.
- McKenna, Luce, Douglas and Taylor have all hit double digit 3-pointers at home.
- Douglas has nailed 17 threes, while Luce has 14, McKenna has 12 and Taylor has 10.
SCOUTING CORNELL
- Cornell enters the weekend on a seven-game losing streak and is looking to change its fortune.
- The Big Red are 2-8 in the Ivy League with wins against Columbia (80-77 OT) and Brown (74-63).
- Cornell is fifth in the Ivy League in scoring (63.6 ppg) and is fourth in scoring defense (61.9 ppg).
- Laura Bagwell-Katalinich and Samantha Wildmann lead the Big Red in scoring (13.4 ppg). Bagwell-Katalinich leads the team in rebounding (7.1 rpg), while Wildmann pulls down 6.6 rpg.
- Shannon Mulroy averages 9.1 ppg and dishes out 2.7 apg.
ALL-TIME AGAINST THE BIG RED
- Dartmouth has had success against Cornell, holding a 61-22 record over the Big Red, dating back to 1977.
- Since 2000, the Big Green are 27-15 over Cornell, meaning Dartmouth only lost to Cornell seven times from 1977-99.
- Dartmouth went 16-2 from 2000-08 but are 11-13 from 2009-20.
SCOUTING COLUMBIA
- Columbia has been on a tear with four consecutive wins and has thrust itself into fourth place in the Ivy League standings.
- The Lions are 6-4 in the Ivy League and are outscoring teams by 2.4 ppg in conference.
- Columbia took Penn to overtime at The Palestra and fell 86-84 on Feb. 7.
- The Lions have the highest scoring average in the conference (71.4 ppg) but allow the second most points (65.3 ppg).
- Freshman Abbey Hsu leads Columbia in scoring (14.8 ppg), which is sixth in the Ivy League, and grabs 4.6 rpg.
- Sienna Durr averages 13.1 ppg and leads the team with 6.0 rpg.
- Janaya Clemmons is dangerous as well with 9.2 ppg, 4.5 rpg and 2.6 apg.
ALL-TIME AGAINST THE LIONS
- Dartmouth has dominated the all-time series against Columbia, going 57-17, dating back to 1977.
- Since 2010, the Big Green are 12-9 over the Lions.
- The Big Green have won four out of the last five meetings.
