HANOVER, N.H. – Head coach
Laura Schuler has announced the 2019-20 Dartmouth women's hockey team awards, as selected by the players.
Captain
Christina Rombaut received the Sarah Kennedy Award and was named the Team MVP. The former is given to a junior or senior who has demonstrated selflessness in putting team above individual goals, a dedication to their team and school with their actions on and off the ice, perseverance in the face of adversity, and a sincere love of the sport. Rombaut ended her final season with four points (2-2-4), scored one power-play tally and the game winner against RIT.
Gabby Billing was named the Offensive MVP after being selected as the team's Rookie of the Year last season. She finished third on the team in points (6-9-15) and was second with two power-play goals. Billing had four two-point games throughout the year.
The Rookie of the Year was
CC Bowlby. In her first season at Dartmouth, Bowlby was second with 16 points (10-6-16) and led the team with three power-play tallies. She had a season-high three points (1-2-3) in the second game against Maine.
Brooke Schroeder was named the Unsung Hero. Even after having her season cut short before the New Year, Schroeder was still an important part of the team. Her teammates said she showed unbelievable resilience this year, was incredibly supportive and encouraging, and her love for the team was so apparent.
In her last year in Hanover,
Bailee Brekke was selected as the Defensive MVP. She had her best season in 2019-20, matching her career-best two goals but going above and beyond with a career-high eight assists for a total of 10 points. She had a two-point performance (0-2-2) against RPI.
The Most Improved Player Award was given to
