PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Dartmouth volleyball fell to Brown, 3-0 (17-25, 17-25, 14-25) at the Pizzitola Sports Center on Friday.

Piper Stevens led with seven kills and seven points, while
Makenzie Arent and
Karen Murphy were tied for first with 11 assists.
Nicole Liddle and
Emma Engstrom both had 14 digs.

Dartmouth (8-5, 0-4) vs. Brown (11-3, 4-0)
The Bears jumped out to a 5-1 lead in the first before the Big Green started to cut into that lead following kills by
Ellie Blain and Liddle (7-10). Brown took off from there and, after Arent, Blain and Liddle added some kills, the home team took set one (25-17).

After another 4-1 start in the second set, a 3-0 Dartmouth rally made it a tied game (5-5). There were five more ties before the Bears took control and had a 19-13 advantage. Liddle and Stevens provided kills and there were a number of errors on the other side of the net before set two went to Brown (25-17).

The start of the third was close and Dartmouth was able to stay within a point or two until a 4-0 Brown run put some distance between the teams (15-10). The Big Green added kills by
Francesca Meldrum,
Bomi Ogunlari and Stevens before the Bears had a 10-4 run to end the match (25-14).

The Big Green will be back on Saturday when it faces Yale.
