Welcome to the postseason! Dartmouth women's rugby will face Brown for the second game in a row, this time in the NIRA Semifinal.
LAST TIME OUT
Dartmouth closed the regular season two weeks ago on the road, defeating Brown by a score of 47-5.
- With the win, the Big Green clinched the No. 1 seed in the NIRA Championship and claimed the 2021 Ivy Championship title.
- Nicole Ihensekhien, Sophia Haley, Emily Henrich, Nyah Cordero, Abbey Savin, Margot Généreux and Grace Player each scored a try for the Big Green, while Savin also hit six conversions.
- Cordero, Savin and Player all scored their first tries of the season.
- After the first 40 minutes, Dartmouth had a 21-5 advantage. The Big Green kept up the momentum in the second, not allowing the Bears to get another point while adding three more tries and two good kicks.
LEADING THE WAY
Savin has moved up to the top after an 11-point performance against Brown at the end of October. With her one try and team-leading 29 conversions, she leads with 63 points, while
Lilly Durbin is second with 50 from 10 tries and Henrich is third with 45 points from eight tries, one conversion, one penalty kick and 13 assists.
SCOUTING THE BEARS
After its loss to Dartmouth on Oct. 30, Brown went on to defeat Mount St. Mary's (34-10) to end the regular season on a high note.
NEWS AROUND THE LEAGUE
And then there were four. No. 2 Harvard will take on No. 3 Army West Point in Cambridge on Saturday, with the game scheduled for 12 p.m.
