Senior Spotlight: Riley Ricciardi

Dartmouthsports.com will be recognizing the senior student-athletes who had their spring seasons postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Today's senior … Riley Ricciardi from Ridgewood, New Jersey, of the women's lacrosse team.

What is your favorite non-sports memory from your time at Dartmouth?
My favorite non-sports memory is freshman year Homecoming. It was so special to be able to have the opportunity to carry the "Class of 2021" banner with my lacrosse class and lead the freshman class around the bonfire.

What is your favorite competition/athletic memory?
My favorite athletic memory is when we beat Florida in our 2020 season. Coming out on top as an underdog is an unforgettable feeling, and it helped boost us into the top 10. It was one of our last games on Scully and I will never forget it!

Why did you choose Dartmouth?
I chose Dartmouth because it has the perfect balance of academics, athletics, and social life. In addition, I admired its proud and longstanding school traditions that include Homecoming, Winter Carnival, and Green Key.

What food could you eat every single day?
I could eat avocado toast every day. So good!

If you could swap places with one teammate, who would it be and why?
I would swap places with Nieve Donegan. She is one of the funniest people on our team and she's the best to be around. I would love to live in her head for a day.

If you could have played another sport, what would it be and why?
I would have played soccer. I like the fast pace of the game and the comradery of the sport. Shout out to DWS! <>

What was your favorite place on campus?
My favorite place on campus is the Green. When the weather is warm it becomes a fun social scene where you can either do homework, hang with friends, or play Spikeball. It also has the best view of campus!
