What is your favorite non-sports memory from your time at Dartmouth?
Our sophomore summer all of our parents came up for Parents Weekend and we had such an amazing time sharing sophomore summer with them. I took my parents swimming at the swim dock, and we had a dinner with everyone at a DOC cabin. There was also a Noah Kahan concert on the Green that we all went to together and got to sit on blankets with everyone. Sophomore summer was such a fun time for our class to be together and having our parents up there was so special. Our parents are so close, and we have loved sharing Dartmouth with them.Â
What is your favorite competition/athletic memory?
My sophomore year we beat Penn which was really exciting because Dartmouth had not beaten them in years. Penn had a really good team that year, but we didn't let that get in our heads. We put so much time into preparing for the
game and the game was also dedicated to a cause very close to our hearts, the Baby Rocco Foundation. It was a very close game, but we came out on top and it was an essential game for clinching Ivies.Â
Why did you choose Dartmouth?
My father played football here at Dartmouth and it has always been such an important part of his life. Seeing how important this place was to him and having the opportunity to come up here as I grew up, I fell in love with Dartmouth from an early age. From all my visits and camps, I could tell the tradition not only on the team, but also of the school as a whole was so strong. On top of this, the beauty of the campus is unmatched.Â
What food could you eat every single day?
I could eat spaghetti and meatballs every single day. My dad makes the best meatballs and pasta sauce ever.
If you could swap places with one teammate, who would it be and why?
Michelle Yu and I are very close friends, but she is so much shorter than me. I would love to spend a day as Michelle to see what it would be like to be 5'1" for the day. We are locker mates so it would also be nice to see how fun I am as a neighbor.Â
What was your favorite place on campus?
Collis porch is one of my favorite places on campus because it reminds me of sitting out there in the spring with teammates. Nothing is better than when it warms up in the spring and we all sit out there to eat and study. It is also a pretty fun social scene to see other people from campus.Â
Outside of sports, what are you most passionate about?
One thing I have been very passionate about at Dartmouth is the research I did with mice. I spent a year in a lab working with one of my Neuroscience professors studying impulsivity. It was really fun being involved in the research but most importantly the mice were adorable.
Do you have a hidden talent?
I am not sure if this qualifies as a hidden talent, but I drive a stick shift car. My parents made us all learn in high school and now I am glad I can do it even though it's not very popular these days.Â
