HANOVER, N.H. – Head coach
Ron Rainey announced the Dartmouth women's soccer 2021 schedule Monday afternoon.
Â
The Big Green will return to action this fall after missing last year due to COVID-19, taking to the field 16 times in the regular season in 2021.
Â
Of those 16 games, nine will come at home on Burnham Field, including the season-opening tilt against Holy Cross on Aug. 27. That game with the Crusaders is the first regular-season Dartmouth sporting event for any team in the 2021-22 calendar year.
Â
In addition to Holy Cross, the Green and White will welcome Vermont (Aug. 29), Sacred Heart (Sept. 9), Kansas (Sept. 16), Merrimack (Oct. 11 or 12), Colby-Sawyer (Oct. 18) in their team's non-conference home slate. The definitive date of the Merrimack game will be announced in the coming weeks.
Â
Away from Hanover and in non-league play, Dartmouth will travel to Georgetown (Sept. 2), George Mason (Sept. 5), and Fairfield (Sept. 12).
Â
The Ivy League schedule begins on Sept. 25 on the road at Brown with contests at Yale (Oct. 9), Penn (Oct. 16) and Harvard (Oct. 30) also on the landscape. The Ancient Eight home opener will feature Princeton (Oct. 2) with Columbia (Oct. 23) and Cornell (Nov. 6) also making the trip to Hanover in 2021.
