Burdick joins Head Coach Ron Rainey's staff ahead of the 2021 season.
HANOVER, N.H. — Ron Rainey, Dartmouth's Stacy and Nick Branca Family Head Coach of Women's Soccer, has announced the hiring of assistant coach Madeline Burdick to his staff for the 2021 season.
Burdick joins the Dartmouth staff after spending her last three seasons as an assistant coach at the University of South Dakota.
"We are very excited to add Maddie to our staff and feel she will bring a ton of energy and experience to Dartmouth," Rainey said. "She is going to hit the ground running and will add to a fun start to the 2021 season."
A 2017 graduate of Northern Colorado University, Burdick spent four years as a goalkeeper on the Bears women's soccer team before transitioning to South Dakota as an assistant coach on the women's soccer staff in July 2018.
Burdick had a hand in all facets of the women's soccer program at South Dakota. She was tasked with organizing travel, making tactical changes in collaboration with the staff, directing game day warm ups and recruiting at various showcases across the country.
Prior to coaching at the collegiate level, she spent time as a volunteer for Soccer Without Borders, a non-profit organization whose goal is to bring about positive change in the world through the sport of soccer. While with Soccer Without Borders, Burdick conducted practices, camps and coordinated team bonding exercises.
Burdick and the Big Green begin regular season action, Friday, Aug. 27, at home against Holy Cross. Opening kick is set for 7 p.m. with Justin McIsaac calling the action on the live stream on ESPN+.
