WEST COAST BOUND
The Big Green take the field for the first time since Nov. 16, 2019. It will be a span of 664 days between regular season games for the team. They take on No. 3 Washington for the first time in five years to start their west coast road trip.
WHAT TO EXPECT
- Dartmouth was ranked fifth in the Ivy League preseason poll.
- The team returns 15 players from its 2019 roster but will be without four of their top five scorers from two years ago.
- Junior forward David Alino was fifth on the team in total points as a freshman during the 2019 season with one goal and three assists.
2019 RECAP
- The Big Green ended the 2019 campaign with a record of 6-8-2 (3-3-1).
- They opened the season with a 3-1 loss against No. 1 Wake Forest and then won three of their next four with wins against UMass, Michigan State and New Hampshire.
- Dartmouth had a 3-1-1 record in Ivy League play headed into the final week of the season but lost back-to-back games against Cornell and Brown to close the season.
SCOUTING WASHINGTON
- The Huskies are currently ranked third in the national poll and last season advanced all the way to the quarterfinals of the NCAA tournament.
- Washington has opened the season with three-straight wins against UC Davis, Cal State Fullerton and Grand Canyon.
- They return their top two scorers from last season, junior midfielder Dylan Teves and redshirt junior midfielder Lucas Meek. The pair combined for 13 goals and 6 assists in spring 2020.
