THIS WEEKEND
Dartmouth men's lacrosse will be on the road for two games, starting with a contest against Bryant at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
LAST TIME OUT
The Big Green dropped their season opener to the Merrimack Warriors, 8-6, at Scully-Fahey Field on Saturday.
· In his first collegiate game,
Colin McGill had one goal and one assist to lead the team with two points. Six other players had one point apiece.
·
Daniel Hincks played all 60 minutes, ending up with 16 saves while being saddled with the loss.
· Dartmouth had a 27-24 advantage in shots on goal and had more ground balls with 26 to Merrimack's 24.
· The score was 1-0 in the Warriors' favor after the first 15 minutes, even though shots were 9-5 Big Green.
· After the visitors made it 2-0, McGill came swooping in with 24.7 remaining in the quarter to cut the lead in half.
· The third was very eventful. Goals by
Matt Paul,
Tommy Rogan and
Henry Bonnie made it a tied game heading to the fourth (4-4).
· Another six goals were scored in the final 15 minutes.
Nate Davis and
Foster Burnley added tallies to stay in contention, but Merrimack managed to hold on to its two-goal lead until the end.
SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
Bryant heads into its first home game of 2022 with a 1-1 record after routing Providence (19-7) and falling to Boston University (13-8).
With the season still very young, there are three players in the lead with six points, while another two have five. There is a clear leader in ground balls: Jacob Alexander has grabbed 23, while the next closest has just five.
In net, both of the Bulldogs' goalies have seen playing time. Luke Caracciolo has played and started both games and has seen all but 2:32 of the 120 minutes of playing time thus far. He has made 20 saves and allowed the same number of goals.
LAST TIME AGAINST BRYANT
On Feb. 22, 2020, the Green made it two in a row with an 11-8 defeat of the Bulldogs at home.
Dartmouth scored six unanswered goals in the fourth quarter, getting back from an 8-5 deficit to win by three.
George Prince and Ben Martin both had four points to lead the team, while
Matt Paul was close behind with three. Seven other players had one point each. In net, Hincks made 14 saves to win his second game of the season.

NEXT UP FOR DARTMOUTH
