HANOVER, N.H. — The Adirondack Thunder of the ECHL announced Wednesday that they have signed former Dartmouth men's hockey forward
Matt Baker '21 to his first professional contract.
Baker finished his Dartmouth career with 96 games in three seasons before COVID-19 caused the Ivy League to cancel his would-be senior campaign of 2020-21.
In those 96 games, Baker had 19 goals and 37 assists for 56 points. During his junior season, he finished fourth on the team in scoring with 24 points (6-18-24). He scored the game winner against No. 2 Cornell during that year. In his freshman season, Baker led all Dartmouth rookies in scoring with nine goals.
After graduation, Baker joined the defending national champions, UMass Amherst, for the 2021-22 campaign with his final year of eligibility. He played in 19 games for the Minutemen before signing his first professional contract with the Thunder.
