HANOVER, N.H. – Freshman goaltender
Eleanor Rogers of the Dartmouth women's ice hockey team has been named the ECAC Hockey Rookie of the Week, as announced by the league office on Tuesday morning.
Making her collegiate debut on Tuesday against Assumption, Rogers made 25 saves between the pipes to earn her first win while giving Dartmouth its first season-opening win since the 2015-16 season.
She followed that up with 20 saves on Friday night to help the Big Green to a 4-2 victory over Harvard, giving Dartmouth its first 2-0 start since the 2014-15 year.
Rogers and the Big Green return to the ice on Friday and Saturday for ECAC Hockey contests against Rensselaer and Union. Puck drop against the Engineers on Friday is set for 6 p.m. while Saturday's game against the Garnet Chargers is scheduled for 3 p.m. The games will be available to stream nationally on ESPN+ and internationally on Stretch Internet. Season and single-game tickets are available for purchase through the Dartmouth Athletics ticket office.
