Nikita Nikora Named ECAC Hockey Rookie of the Week

The first-year receives the award after finishing with three points in two games against No. 12 Arizona State
HANOVER, N.H. – First-year forward Nikita Nikora was named the ECAC Hockey Rookie of the Week after his performances against No. 12 Arizona State, as announced by the league office on Monday morning.

In the first-ever meeting between the Big Green and the Sun Devils on Friday night, Nikora finished with one goal and one assist to help Dartmouth to a 4-4 tie.

The following night, Nikora assisted on the Big Green's lone goal in the 1-1 tie, keeping Dartmouth's unbeaten record against nationally ranked opponents intact.

Dartmouth is off for a few weeks and returns to action just prior to the New Year with the 34th Ledyard Classic on Dec. 29 and 30. Tickets for the Ledyard Classic can be purchased through the Dartmouth Athletics ticket office.

Notes: This is the second time Nikora has won ECAC Hockey Rookie of the Week having done so nearly a month ago on Nov. 13.
