SATURDAY'S HOME FINALE
Battling Penn in the final home game of the season, Dartmouth will recognize its seniors prior to tip-off and will honor the jersey of Gail Koziara Boudreaux, the three-time Ivy League Player of the Year who stands as the program's all-time leading scorer and leading rebounder, at halftime. It will be the first jersey honored in the history of varsity athletics at Dartmouth College. The game will be streamed live on ESPN3.
THANK YOU, SENIORS!
The program's Class of 2023, which includes three current co-captains, will play their final contests at Leede Arena.
KARINA MITCHELL
Mitchell is a three-time co-captain for the Big Green and has appeared in 69 games, including 10 starts, and has registered career highs in points, rebounds and assists as a senior. Following her junior season, she was presented with the program's Larry Leavitt Leadership Award, given to an individual who demonstrates hard work and dedication.
KAIYAH CORONA
Corona is currently serving as a student assistant coach and was recently named to the 20th WBCA 'So You Want to be a Coach' class. She is a two-time recipient of the program's Don Goss Spirit Award, which recognizes an individual who best embodies the spirit and determination that are a rich part of the Dartmouth women's basketball tradition.
EMMA KOCH
Koch has appeared in 50 games, including 34 starts, and is serving as a captain for the Big Green this season. She has grabbed double-digit rebounds in seven games this season, including a career-high 13 in a win over Merrimack. She was honored with the Don Goss Spirit Award as a freshman and last season earned the 'GO' Award, given to a player who consistently demonstrates commitment to improving her game.
ALLIE HARLAND
Harland has appeared in 68 games, including seven starts, and knocked down at least one 3-pointer in eight straight games this season, becoming the first Dartmouth player to do so since the 2019-20 season. Last summer, she was selected to participate in the NCAA Career in Sports Forum, which brings together 200 chosen student-athletes to learn about and explore potential careers in athletics.
LAST WEEKEND
A cold shooting performance hindered the Big Green in a 53-40 loss to Cornell on Friday night before a season-worst 30 turnovers doomed them in a 80-37 loss to Columbia.
Victoria Page was Dartmouth's leading scorer in both games.
PAGE AVERAGING DOUBLE FIGURES
Victoria Page is now averaging a team-high 10.3 points per game after scoring in double figures in each of the last five games. If she maintains an average of 10 or more for the remainder of the season, she'll be the first Dartmouth player to average double figures in scoring since Annie McKenna averaged 11.5 in 2019-20.
Mia Curtis was Dartmouth's leading scorer last year with 6.8 per game.
MORE BOARDS FOR KOCH
Emma Koch grabbed 10 rebounds against Cornell on Friday night, marking the third straight game she's reached double digits in the category. Only three players in the Ivy League have more games with double-digit rebounds than the senior co-captain, who has eight to her credit.
ACADEMIC ALL-DISTRICT
Emma Koch and
Carrington Washburn both received Academic All-District honors from College Sports Communicators on Tuesday. They're the program's first honorees since the 2019-20 season and Dartmouth was one of five teams in the Ivy League to land multiple players on the All-District squad.
LAST TIME WE MET
Dartmouth knocked down a season-high 12 3-pointers, led by
Mia Curtis' 5-of-7 performance, in a competitive 69-57 loss. The Big Green faced a 17-point deficit in the fourth, but cut the lead to single digits with a 13-5 run. Dartmouth attempted just four free throws to Penn's 18 (Penn currently ranks fourth in the nation for fewest fouls per game). That mid-January matchup was the second time Dartmouth connected on more than 10 triples with the first being the 11-of-18 showing in a loss to Vermont on Dec. 1.
SEASON FINALE UPCOMING
Dartmouth heads to Harvard on Saturday, March 4 for the final game of the season in a weekend filled with Ivy League travel partner matchups.
