Sydney Herrington and Maggie Emerson each received the honor
HANOVER, N.H. — A pair of student-athletes from the Dartmouth women's hockey team were named Krampade American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) All-American scholars.
Senior forward Sydney Herrington and sophomore goaltender Maggie Emerson each received the honor for their success in the classroom during the 2022-23 academic year.
To qualify for the honor, a student-athlete must have attained a 3.75 GPA for each term and has to appear in 40% of the team's games. Exceptions were granted to injured players and back-up goaltenders.
Herrington has received four academic awards for the 2022-23 season, as she was also named to ECAC Hockey All-Academic team, an ECAC Hockey Commissioner's List honoree and was honored as an Academic All-Ivy selection. Emerson also received ECAC Hockey All-Academic team recognition.
