HANOVER, N.H. – Koenig Family Head Coach of Dartmouth Men's Hockey
Reid Cashman today announced his team's schedule for the 2023-24 season. The 29-game regular season schedule includes 14 games at Thompson Arena.
Dartmouth will host two preseason contests prior to the start of the season. UMass makes the trip to Thompson for a scrimmage on Sunday, Oct. 8. The Big Green play host to the United States National Team Development Program (USNTDP) on Sunday, Oct. 15 for an exhibition.
Dartmouth opens the season with an ECAC Hockey and Ivy League tilt against Harvard at Thompson Arena on Friday, Oct. 27. They make their first road trip of the year the following night, traveling to Granite State rival UNH. Dartmouth looks to win its second-straight game against the in-state rival after taking a 3-1 victory during the 2021-22 season in the 32
nd Ledyard Classic.
The Big Green open November at home with a matchup against the defending national champion Quinnipiac on Nov. 3 followed by a visit from the Princeton Tigers the following evening. The first conference road trip sees Dartmouth travel to Cornell (Nov. 10) and Colgate (Nov. 11).
The lone ECAC Hockey weekend of December has the Big Green traveling to the North Country for tilts against St. Lawrence and Clarkson on Dec. 1 and 2.
Dartmouth heads out west on Dec. 8 and 9 for a pair of non-conference tilts at Arizona State. The end of 2023 sees the Big Green host the 34
th Ledyard Classic, with Lake Superior State, Maine and RIT coming to Hanover. Dartmouth takes on Lake Superior State on Friday, Dec. 29 before squaring off against either Maine or RIT the following night.
The Big Green host twin-state rival Vermont on Saturday, Jan. 6 to open the new year.
After a five-week break from league play, Dartmouth heads back on the road for matchups against Yale (Jan. 12) and Brown (Jan. 13). The Big Green play its next four contests on home ice at Thompson Arena, taking on Union (Jan. 19), Rensselaer (Jan. 20), Colgate (Jan. 26) and Cornell (Jan. 27).
Dartmouth hits the road for three straight with trips to Princeton (Feb. 2), Quinnipiac (Feb. 3) and Harvard (Feb. 9). The Big Green return home to welcome Clarkson and St. Lawrence on Feb. 16 and Feb. 17 before the final road weekend, traveling to Rensselaer (Feb. 23) and Union (Feb. 24).
Dartmouth closes out the regular season at home for the first time since 2020, when it welcomes Brown and Yale to Thompson Arena on March 1 and 2.
The opening round of the ECAC Hockey tournament is scheduled for the weekend of March 9-11, with the quarterfinal round taking place the following weekend. The championship weekend is scheduled for March 22-23 in Lake Placid, New York.
