Reid Cashman today announced that junior forward
Sean Chisholm will be the captain of the Big Green for the 2023-24 season.
Chisholm becomes the 123
rd captain in the history of the Dartmouth men's hockey program.
Speaking about the process of choosing the captain, Cashman said, "It became very clear that we have a captain. Time and time again [in the words of the players], it's how he approaches every day, focuses on being the best version of himself, and having a voice in the room on game days."
A native of Caledonia, Ontario, Chisholm has played in 61 games and has recorded 16 goals and 21 assists for 37 points. He led the Big Green in scoring as a freshman in 2021-22 after finishing with 23 points. He scored nine goals and had 14 assists.
Chisholm and the Big Green will spend the next month and a half preparing for the season opener against Harvard at Thompson Arena on Friday, October 27. Dartmouth will host UMass (Oct. 8) and USNTDP (Oct. 15) in preseason games at Thompson Arena. Fans can purchase season and single-game tickets through the Dartmouth Athletics Ticket Office. Admission will be free for both preseason contests.
