HANOVER, N.H. – Senior goalkeeper
Emily Hardy of the Dartmouth women's soccer team was named the Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday.
Hardy earns the honor after a stellar performance in goal over the weekend for the Big Green. She made seven saves on Saturday to help Dartmouth to a 1-0 victory against Yale in the Ivy League opener, recording her sixth clean sheet of the season.
This is the first weekly award winner for Dartmouth this year.
Hardy and the Big Green return to Burnham Field Saturday for an Ivy League matchup against Cornell for the annual Pride Game. Kickoff is scheduled for 3 p.m. and the game will be available to stream nationally on ESPN+ and internationally on Stretch Internet. Single-game tickets are available for purchase through the Dartmouth Athletics Ticket Office.
