On Tuesday, College Sports Communicators announced their Academic All-District Team honorees, recognizing six members of Dartmouth women's soccer. To be named to the Academic All-District list, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore, earn a 3.5 grade point average and have played in either 90% of the team's games or started 66% of contests.
Those that earned the recognition this year are
Grace Faulkner,
Sydney Brown,
Danielle Burke,
Hailey Rorick,
Ellie Davidson, and
Hannah Curtin.
Fifth-year Faulkner started and played all 16 contests this season for the Big Green, playing the full 90 minutes in all but two games. She was a staple on Dartmouth's back line, tallying 1,374 minutes, most on the team.
Brown, a senior, played every game for the Big Green. She made four starts, including three straight to end the year.
Burke, also a senior, also appeared in each of the team's 16 games. She tallied four points, a goal and two assists, including her lone goal of the season against Harvard, earning Dartmouth's first result against the Crimson since 2018. Burke added an assist on the game winning goal at Colgate and one in the win at UMass Lowell.
Junior Rorick was also the Big Green's Academic All-Ivy League selection. She started every game this season, tallying three goals and an assist for seven total points, the most in her time with the Big Green. She also went on a four-game point streak, scoring goals in back-to-back games at Pittsburgh and Robert Morris an, assist against Colgate, and a goal vs. Hofstra.
Davidson, a sophomore, played in all 16 games, making 15 starts. She tallied two assists, both in wins over Merrimack and UMass Lowell.
Senior Curtin made 13 starts but appeared in all 16 games. The forward scored three goals and added two assists for eight total points, including a three-game point streak in which she tallied two goals and an assist. Curtin scored the game winning goal in the 85
th minute of the season finale vs. Brown, securing the Big Green's lone Ivy League victory of the season.
