Izee Powell and senior
Jenna Donohue of the women's hockey team each received All-Ivy honors per the Ivy League's announcement Wednesday morning. Powell was named an All-Ivy Honorable Mention while Donohue was named to the Academic All-Ivy team for her senior campaign.
Powell, the sophomore from Oxford, Ohio, played in all 29 regular season games and the Big Green's one postseason game. In 30 games, she recorded 15 points, second most among Big Green defenders. Powell led the Big Green defense with six goals, including the game winning goal against Harvard in February that helped the Big Green to their first regular season sweep of the Crimson since the 2003-04 season.
Donohue, the psychology major, received Academic All-Ivy recognition for her work on the ice and in the classroom during her senior season. Donohue was one of six student-athletes to receive the honor that acknowledges student-athletes who positively impact their sport and remain in good academic standing.
Donohue also played in all 30 games for the Big Green this season, tallying seven goals and 15 assists to lead the team in points (22). She ranked first on the team with assists and was tied for third on the team in goals, only behind her linemates Cally Cixon (10) and
Laura Fuoco (8). In addition to leading the team in assists and points, Donohue recorded two game winning goals this season, including in the season opener against Assumption, a play that landed her on the Sports Center Top 10 plays of the day. She also recorded the Big Green's first good penalty shot since 2020.
Powell and Donohue wrapped up their successful sophomore and senior seasons last weekend when the Big Green faced Princeton in the opening round of the ECAC Hockey playoffs, the Big Green's first playoff appearance since 2015.
