PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The Big Green and Quakers played their final two regular season Ivy League games Saturday, with the Quakers finding offensive power to defeat the Big Green 16-4 and 24-5.
With the two losses, the Big Green fall to 12-26 overall and 7-14 in the Ivy League.
GAME 1 | Pennsylvania 16, Dartmouth 4
Dartmouth opened the scoring in the first game of the doubleheader, getting out to a 1-0 lead in the first inning, but the Quakers offense powered back and did not look back, batting their way to a 16-4 victory.
Tyler Robinson led off the first inning with a double, coming home to score on a Kolton Freeman single after advancing to third n a passed ball. The Big Green had two on with only one out but the Quakers got out of the inning only down one.
They immediately responded, putting up four runs to take a 4-1 lead into the second inning. Both the Big Green and Quakers remained off the scoreboard until the fourth when Penn added another run to extend their lead to four runs. Penn got right back to it in the fifth inning, posting their first five-run inning of the day, leading the Big Green 10-1 headed into the sixth inning.
Penn kept swinging, adding another run in the seventh before the Big Green were able to get back on the board. Dartmouth added three runs in the eighth inning when Nathan Cmeyla doubled to score Elliot Krewson, Max Zajec doubled to score Nico Bañez who entered the game as a pinch runner for Cmeyla, and Jackson Hower flied out to score Zackarie Casebonne who reached when he was hit by the pitch.
The Quakers immediately responded, scoring five in their half of the eighth inning, highlighted by a grand slam, to seal the 16-4 victory.
Mac Burke got the start on the mound, giving up seven runs, six earned, in four innings pitched. Tyler Cortland came in in relief, allowing three runs on three hits and two walks while only getting two outs. Eddie Albert was the only Dartmouth pitcher today to ut up a scoreless outing. In 1.1 innings pitched, Albert allowed one hit, one walk, and fanned two. Joseph Chambers wrapped up game one giving up six runs on four hits in two innings.

GAME 2 | Pennsylvania 24, Dartmouth 5
Penn picked up right where they left off in game one, opening a three run lead in the first inning against the Big Green and not looking back en route to victory in eight innings.
The Quakers had a 5-0 lead before the Big Green were able to get on the board in the fourth inning when Nathan Cmeyla led off the inning with a solo home run. Penn immediately responded though, adding five runs in their half of the inning to re-extend their lead. Dartmouth did grab runs in each of the last five innings, but an 11-run seventh inning that saw three Dartmouth pitchers was too much for the Big Green to overcome.
Cmeyla collected another RBI in the fifth inning, a passed ball scored a run in the sixth, Max Zajec doubled in a run in the seventh, and Chris Miller got the final RBI of the day for the Big Green on a sacrifice fly.
Jack Metzger got the start, throwing four innings and giving up ten runs, six earned. Danny Will pitched the next two innings of relief, while Nate Isler, Brady Chappel, and Clark Gilmore combined for the final inning.
