HANOVER, N.H. – Dartmouth Men's Basketball Head Coach
David McLaughlin has announced the addition of four student-athletes as part of the incoming Class of 2028. The four newcomers join a solid group that return 11 players from 2023-24 campaign.
"We are very excited to welcome this group of high character, talented young men to The Upper Valley. They all possess so many of the qualities we look for when recruiting. They each possess a variety of skills that will impact our program. They have been well prepared by excellent high school coaches and are willing to take ownership of their development both on and off of the court. And they are tough-minded and hard-working young men that love the game," noted McLaughlin.

Why Dartmouth: "I chose Dartmouth because on my campus visit, I felt that family environment. Everybody got along with each other, I felt welcomed from the moment I stepped on campus. The recruiting process was great for me, and it got to a point where Dartmouth felt like home. Also, the academics played a big role in the decision. Once my basketball career is over, I hope to use my Dartmouth degree to support my future endeavors."
"Cam had excellent preparation with coach Justin Bell at Santa Margarita. His size and feel for the game, combined with his ability to really stretch the defense will translate well with how we want to play at both ends of the floor. Cam's toughness and willingness to compete will be a great addition for the Big Green."

"Playing for his Dad, Tony, at Clovis North, Connor comes in as a polished winner and leader. He has great instincts at the point guard position as both a scorer and distributor. I have no doubt that Connor's toughness and acumen will be on display each day."
Kareem Thomas

Why Dartmouth: "I chose Dartmouth because of the tight knit community and multitude of opportunities that is offers to me. Growing up, I didn't think I would be offered the chance to attend an Ivy League school let alone play Division I basketball at one so when the opportunity was presented to me, I could not pass it up."
"Had a very successful high school career under Taylor Trevisan at Salesianum. Kareem is a guard who brings great size and a talented skill set. He has the ability to stretch the defense and make consistent plays off of the bounce. We are looking forward to seeing him continue to develop."
Shanon Simango

Before Dartmouth: 2x All-State Teams in Basketball…2x State Titles in Basketball…Conference Player of The Year…Beach Ball Classic All-Tournament Team…Individual State Championship in Track and a Team Title in Track
Why Dartmouth: "I chose Dartmouth because as soon as the coaches reached out to me, that initial conversation, I felt a connection that I wanted to see with my eyes as soon as I visited, and it was true once I got to campus. The expectations that I had in my mind about the family that Dartmouth could be for me, came true. Not only for me but for my mother as well. She was blessed with the opportunity of visiting the campus and when we got here, we felt at home and that meant everything to me."
"Shanon was fortunate to be mentored and coached by Cade Lemcke at Blue Ridge. Shanon's personality off of the court is matched by his effort and intensity on the court. He is someone who brings it every possession, and we are excited to see him compete each day."
